About Sanctum!

Sanctum is an adult Casual guild that was formed on the Doomhammer US server at the beginning of WoW's The Burning Crusade. Many of our members raided up to Naxx and Aq40 in "vanilla" WoW. As a guild, Sanctum has progressed into Black Temple and Hyjal in TBC and are currently finishing up Ulduar and Trial of the Crusader.

Loot System

Sanctum uses a loot method called Suicide Kings. To put it simply, at the beginning of our raids in Wrath we rolled 1-1000 and were put on a "suicide list." the highest roller with the top slot (#1) and others following down the line in the order they rolled. New members are automatically placed at the bottom of the list before the raid starts. Those at the top of the list "suicide" when they win an item and are placed at the bottom of the list. They then work their way up as others obtain items. People in a raid move around those not in attendance, but those who are unable to make a raid are not removed from the list. If you are asked to sit for a raid, you will not be removed from the raid so you can continue to get SUicide Kings credit as if you were present with us. Please note if you wish to run a 5 man instance or quest, then you would have to leave and thus forfeit the SK credit you would get for the night.

To bid for an item, send a tell with the word "bid" to whoever is running Suicide Kings for the night (usually Zarissa or Leena). If you are the highest person on the list, you will be awarded the item and be sent to the bottom. There is a lot of movement within the list, especially when we are in progression content.

Raids

We raid Monday and Friday from 7:30 pm to 11:00 pm Mountain Standard Time (server time). Invites typically go out a half hour before raids start. As our focus is 25 mans, some members form impromptu 10 mans during the week, sometimes via calendar, sometimes by forming up based on who is online.

During raids everyone is expected to have four flasks of the appropriate type and food appropriate to class/spec. Occasionally, we put down a fish feast, but it is not guaranteed. Ventrilo is a must. We explain boss fights and communicate via ventrilo, and it is very difficult (and time consuming) to have to explain a fight via text. We do like to have fun during our raids, thus joking and laughing are common until pulls happen.

Behavior

While wearing the <Sanctum> tag, our members behave politely and with respect to our fellow players. It is our goal to have a good reputation on this server.
